The brief was to create a Japanese garden. This was originally a garden at two levels with very little usable space which we converted to a single level. The stone was unfilled travertine laid on the diagonal with moss planted between the cracks. The rear wall was a traditionally constructed ‘Misu-Gaki’ fence. The evergreen planting was mulched with grey pebbles.
