The potential of this garden was wasted with a huge hedge along the back wall taking up meters of precious space and it was built on two levels. I doubled the usable space by converting it to one level. A built-in cedar bench conserved more space and the raised beds created more casual seating for entertaining. To lighten the garden I used an off-white porcelain on the ground and changed the grey walls to off-white with new horizontal cedar trellis screening above.
