Queen's Park

The client had ambitious plans for what was a neglected garden of lawn and weeds. It needed to be completely overhauled along with the house. There was a substantial height difference between the garden and the neighbouring gardens. To solve this dramatic difference in height I designed a raised bed around the perimeter to avoid losing precious space with a retaining wall. The curved brick wall was capped in York Stone at useful seating height. Following the brief of a low-maintenance garden, the lawn is artificial and the decking is composite. The house was renovated by architect Clare Heffernan.
